Parents of the Recently Diagnosed - Hold on Tight You'll Get There

Wow it hits you like a train running at full speed doesn't it?
I remember the day all to well. Waiting for over a year from the assessment till one day the phone call came which turned our world upside down, to be honest it shouldn't of turned our world upside down considering by then I all but realised the professionals were right and my lovely wee lad was a bit different from his peers.
Two and a half years later the world is a much steadier place for me and my boy. The same problems come up and I wait with a slight dread for new ones to surface with age but in the end I've had a steep learning curve and manage to handle things much better today than I did back
then.
Lots of things have changed in our lives over that time and like I said I've learnt many things not only about my son but about the 'world' of spectrum disorders. Anyway at the moment I am dabbling with the idea of using the internet to make some pocket change to keep me in my much needed stay-at-home mum capacity and so would like to publish some thoughts in a blog to see what information I have gathered together and how relevant it is to anyone out there.
I will be returning to update tomorrow as per usual its very very late and long past time to hit the hay. I don't know how this site works fully yet and I'm sorry I have no information on here so far it'll take time but if there is a contact feature on here feel free to respond with comments or questions and I'll do my best to answer.
